Ultimate Pipe Bags, Briefs and Accessories Currently in Stock or Available by Order:

This page is divided into two parts. The top half shows the bags and accessories that I have available and the lower half shows the bags and accessories I've recently sold and no longer have in stock. If you are looking for anything in the sold-out category please email me to discuss having one made for you.

The Pipe Possible Bag:

POSSIBLES
The personal property of the mountain man, Such items as a bullet mold, an awl, knives, a tin cup, his buffalo robe or a blanket capote, his pipe and tobacco, flint and steel, sometimes a small sheet-metal fry-pan, and other accouterments he considered necessary. Firearms were considered "pieces" or guns" and not possibles.
POSSIBLES BAG
The leather bag in which the mountain man carried his possibles. everything from his pipe and tobacco to his patches and balls. What could not be carried in the bag were hung on the bags shoulder strap. Shooting needs were given first priority, kept where they could be found with ease and speed.

I just finished a bag that I have wanted to make for some time. It's designed after the American frontiersman "possibles" bag. I carried one hunting for years and years.

It has no handle as it is made to be slung over your shoulder or across the chest "bandolero" style. It's 12.5 inches long ny 9 inches high. It has a pocket under the flap. The gusset is 5 inches so it will open and fill to about 4.5 inches. There are four pipe pockets inside, each will hold 2 normal to large sized pipes in their socks when placed bowl to stem. The rest of the bag is unlined. There is no hand stitching in the bag.

Now the good part (I think), the bag is $285 which is pretty cheap for one of my bags. I found this skin in the shop under some other skins "put away till later" and decided it would be pretty perfect for this bag. It is. I'll have three in a day or so as two others have already been cut. I'll only be able to make them when the right skins show up but I love the design so I'll be looking. I will do everything I can to keep the price of these bags low but this will be entirely dependant  upon the price of the leather I use so it will fluctuate somewhat.

Figure the range to be $285 - $375 (depending on the skins)

If you want the bag customized I will gladly discuss it but changes will raise the price accordingly.

This bag is $300.

The Archer PipeFolio:

I can't believe how popular this bag has been but I do understand it's appeal and I'm very proud of the design. The concept for this piece was the inspiration of my good friend Neill Roan. As a frequent flyer and heavy duty traveler Neill has run into problems with the new airline baggage regulations and needed a pipe bag that would carry 8 pipes with ample accessories and still fit comfortably into his briefcase. After spending several months ruminating on the design here it is, The Archer PipeFolio. If you'd like to read more about it in a review please feel free to visit Neill's blog, "A Passion for Pipes".:

http://passionforpipes.squarespace.com/classic-blog-posts/the-archer-pipe-folio.html

The bag measures 12"x8"x2", the perfect size for a briefcase or suitcase. It's very comfortable to carry under the arm as well.

All Archers come with a matching pipe cleaner holder.

Depending on the leather this bag retails for $375 - $500.

Available bags can be seen below but custom orders are always welcome.

The Junior Archer PipeFolio:

Pretty much the same overall design as it's big brother except for it's size. It has three pipe pockets and some of the accessory pockets are doubled up. The pockets will each hold two pipes, stem to bowl in their pipe socks. it's dimensions are approximately 9 1/2 x 8 x 2 inches. A nice size for carrying, packing and traveling in general. The Hunter:

The Hunter is the newest design bag I have made. It was requested by a noted collector of nosewarmers who wanted to be able to take a very small bag out for a day in the field with him along with a couple small pipes and accoutrements. Personally I have found the bag to work with more than nosewarmers as several of my Danish pipes and old 30's Kaywoodies and other pipes fit very well. The bag will hold pipes up to appx., 5" long. The Hunter is 6"x3.5"x3". Very compact. One of the pictures below shows the comparison in size between the Hunter and the 2/4.

The Hunter shown below is $190.

The bags listed below are available directly from me. Click here for more info.

Urban Pipe Bags:

Certainly my favorite bag and the one I carry almost every day !!

This Urban Pipe Bag  has a black  Cowhide exteriors.   The bags have the interior configuration shown below except in black. As is always the case with my bags the pipe pockets hold 2 pipes each in their pipe socks when placed bowl to stem. This bag holds a huge amount of stuff (the bottom gusset expands to 6 inches !!) and is very comfortable to carry.

These bags, normally $450. There is only one left of these bags.

For more information on these Urban pipe bags please click here to email me.

Ultimate Unisex Pipe Bag:

This is a great bag for hauling around a ton of stuff (check out the picture !!). It is made from a really top grade jet black well grained motorcycle skin with the exception of the back wall holding the pipe pockets and the pipe pockets themselves. A picture of the interior of this bag can be seen here. The strap on this bag is actually cut  very long to be worn bandolero style, diagonally across the chest. I have two of these bags available.  One as seen below with the extra long strap and one that I have not yet attached a strap. If you want a bag with a shorter strap the bag I have waiting can be custom done that way. The picture shown below of the black bag let's you know how much stuff can actually fit inside one of these

For more information on these Unisex Pipe Bags  please click here to email me .

Tan Unisex Pipe Bag - $340..

Note -  Ordinarily, this bag would be on sale at $300, the reason for the added discount is that crease you can see on the right front flap of the bag. I really think that the crease will disappear over time but I can't guarantee it. Once the bag is filled it's hardly noticeable..

Pipe Cleaner Pouches

I have a load of leather pipe cleaner holders all in nice black pebble grain and  snake design embossed cowhides as well as some alligator looking cowhides and some nifty checkerboard ones. . They are $20 each, 2/$35.

The Walkabout Sock

Well as does sometimes happen I was asked to come up with something that would hold what you see below. Tobacco, one or two pipes, a tamper, lighter and maybe some cleaners, The gentleman wanted it to have a simple closure and be small enough to stick in a jacket pocket. He ended up not wanting them but after field testing them for a bit I discovered that I love mine so I made and  sold a whole bunch in Chicago.  Here they are. The top picture shows the current color availability. They're $45 each in cowhide. I'll have some in stock soon that will be made from a lightweight bison which will be $55 each.

Leather Pipe Racks

The origins of these racks come with a small story. The brown ones were originally shown to me about 2 1/2 years ago. They were made by a well know luminary of the pipe world back in the 60's when leather work was all the rave. I think the original design must have come from one of the numerous and now long defunct leather crafting and hobbyist magazines of the time, from a time when both pipe smoking and the use of leather were not a political issue. Anyway, about a month ago the brown ones were shipped to be for refurbishment as after about 50 years, the leather straps were showing serious signs of aging. Anyway with the original owners happy permission I have recreated the racks for sale. A pair of these runs $250. They each hold eight pipes and can be made as right or left stem leaning racks and should be available in an assortment of colors. They are about 5 1/2" wide and 36 inches long. The brown racks shown below are for illustration only and are not for sale.

The racks listed below are available directly from me. Click here for more info.

The Doctor's 6/12 Pipe Bag:

This bag is my newest designed pipe bag styled after the doctor's bags we all remember as children. The bag measures 12' x 9.5' x 5'. The top bag below is black bison on the outside and buckskin within. The brown bottom bag has a cowhide exterior and buckskin lining. The interiors are designed with 6 pipe pockets that are designed to hold two pipes each in their pipe socks when placed bowl to stem and a large open space in the center for tobacco and accessories (or more pipes). There are pictures below that show the bag's interior empty and full as well as a picture showing the bag closed and full (sided by side with the full interior picture). The centered picture shows everything that is in the full bag. While these bags will normally be made with a matching shoulder strap, the black bison bag shown below does not have one. If you are interested in this bag with a shoulder strap I can get some bison and make the strap, just let me know. The bison bags with the strap will normally be $550.  Both have been sold.  Shipping in the US is included in the pricing.

Padded Laptop Backpack:

The backpack below is one of my padded laptop backpacks. It is made completely from cowhide with the exception of the padding which is synthetic mold resistant and waterproof saddle padding, the zippers and the nylon backpack straps. The bag is fully lined in leather as well. The laptop pocket is secured within the bag with a long Velcro strap. The entire back of the pack is lined as well as the bottom of the bag and the sides up about 6 inches. This bag will not only protect your computer but it's accessories as well. In the pack there is also a slot for your paperwork, pens and assorted other smaller items and the huge front zippered pocket. The normal price for a backpack like this is $425. This bag is now Sold.
